Revere Students Earn National Recognition in Prestigious Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

Revere Local School District is proud to announce that Revere High School students Georgia Stanley (senior) and Amelia Brackett (junior) have earned national recognition in the 2026 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards—one of the nation’s most prestigious programs honoring creative excellence among teens.

Georgia’s colored pencil drawing “Fever” and Amelia’s colored pencil drawing “Back Stage” were selected for exhibition at the National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards in New York City.

This year, more than 110,000 students submitted over 335,000 works of art and writing to the competition. Georgia and Amelia’s pieces were selected by leading professionals in the visual and literary arts for their outstanding originality, technical skill, and strong personal voice. Fewer than 2,000 works nationwide received a National Medal, placing both students in the top 1% of all submissions.

Since 1923, the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards have recognized some of the nation’s most talented young artists and writers. By earning a National Medal, Georgia and Amelia join a distinguished legacy of past honorees, including Andy Warhol, Sylvia Plath, Truman Capote, Richard Avedon, Robert Redford, Lena Dunham, and filmmaker Ken Burns.

Georgia and Amelia will be honored with Gold Medals at the Scholastic Art & Writing National Recognition Ceremony at Carnegie Hall in New York City this June.

Revere Local Schools congratulates these exceptional student artists on their remarkable achievement and celebrates their dedication to creativity and excellence.
