FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

We are very proud to share that Sophomore Trumpet player, Chad Carpenter,  and Junior Trumpet player Avery Smith, members of the Revere High School Marching Minutemen, have been selected to perform with the Bands of America (BOA) Honor Band in the 2026 Rose Parade® on New Year’s Day in Pasadena, California.

The BOA Honor Band of America is a prestigious national ensemble that brings together outstanding high school musicians from across the country to perform in one of America’s most celebrated traditions — the annual Tournament of Roses Parade. Students are selected through an audition process that evaluates musical excellence, marching ability, and character.

The Bands of America Honor Band is a project of Music for All, a national organization dedicated to supporting music education and performance opportunities for young musicians. The ensemble will include over 250 students from across the United States and will spend a week in Southern California rehearsing, performing, and participating in special events leading up to the Rose Parade.

We are incredibly proud of Chad and Avery for earning this incredible honor. Their hard work, dedication, and love of music exemplify the best of what it means to be part of the Revere band family. Marching in the Rose Parade is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and we can’t wait to cheer them on as they represent Revere on a national stage.
