Dear Parents and Guardians,

To best support your student’s success, we ask that all families follow the attendance procedures outlined below.  Clear and timely communication helps us maintain accurate records and ensures that absences, tardies, and early dismissals are properly documented.

Reporting Absences and Late Arrivals

  • Please notify the Attendance Office as early as possible if your student will be absent. You can utilize the new option of the RHS Attendance form - PREFERRED METHOD
  • If your student will arrive after the first bell at 7:34 a.m., this must also be reported. For example, if your student has a morning appointment and misses first period, notify the office that they will be arriving late.
  • Students who arrive after 7:34 a.m. without prior notification will be marked with an unexcused tardy.

Unexcused Tardies

  • Students arriving late without prior notification will be marked unexcused tardy.
  • Exceptions for this include CCP students or Senior Option schedules.
  • Frequent unexcused tardies are discouraged and will result in disciplinary action.

Planned Early Dismissals

If your student has a planned appointment, you may:

Pre-arranged Absences (More than one day)

  • If your student will be absent for more than one day and the absence is known in advance, a Pre-Arranged Absence Form is required. It may be submitted anytime before the first date of absence.
  • The form can be found here or your student may get one from the main office. The form does require a parent/guardian signature as well as a signature from all of their teachers.

Drivers Education

We recognize that students may be required to participate in Drivers Education during the school day.

Please note that Revere High School is not affiliated with driver’s education providers and does not receive their schedules directly.

Parents must provide written notification of these absences to the Attendance Office.

College Visits

  • College visits are an exciting part of the high school experience.
  • Please provide as much notice as possible before these visits
  • When feasible, obtain documentation from the college or university verifying attendance.
  • If the visit is going to extend beyond one day, a Pre-Arranged Absence Form must be completed.

Thank you for your cooperation in following these procedures. Your partnership helps us maintain accurate records and ensures that students remain on track academically. We are all looking forward to another amazing year !!!  Please feel free to call with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Jen Juengel
